A few weeks ago, in the middle of a busy wedding season.. I gathered some creative friends for a mini floral photo shoot at one of my favourite wedding venues ~ Langley Abbey, England. The backdrop of this 12th century building was perfect for my floral designs, mixing the faded gothic beauty of the Abbey with florals of an old Dutch painting… I began.
Steering away from a ‘typical’ bridal shoot, I wanted the photographs to have a sense of history to them. Amy’s striking looks are perfect.. Love this girl!
Flowers were chosen from my garden | locally & at market.
I didn’t have to search far for the photographer .. Camilla Felgate being the obvious choice, I have worked with Camilla on shoots & wedding’s .. We know each others styles..
… But I have to say I was blown away with some of these images.
Vines & moss decorated the Abbey’s walls..
Flamingo Amy joined us to do the make up for our models.. I adore this lip colour! And worked alongside me on the hair / flowers.
Delicate florals, antique urns & ancient walls…
The vast walls of this Abbey offer interesting nooks & ledges to add floral arrangements…
As well as larger scale table designs.. On banquet tables..
Flamingo Amy’s beautiful braids entwined with flowers..
Thankyou to all involved in this shoot
